We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, ensure domestic Tranquility …
If our forefathers who wrote the constitution could witness the insanity of the 2020 Presidential election, would they believe that we are an advanced Nation from our pre-American years? Would they be proud that a president is declared from a process that in its final days is shrouded in secrecy and parties are denied their legal rights to observe the counting to ensure fairness and data integrity? Would they rejoice that in the manner in which a system allowing ‘all votes to count’ would cast a doubt to the American public on the legitimacy of the outcome given the lack of transparency to the public in the final hours?
My fellow Americans, this is not about Donald Trump or Joe Biden–Republican or Democrat; rather it is about all parties honoring our legislative process and obeying our laws, at all levels of democratic decisions.
I’m disappointed in my America; not for what it stands for; as I will always believe in the foundation our great country is built on as we truly are the “land of the free and the home of the brave.” Rather, my upset is at a naïve American public that accepts when injustices exist as long as ‘their guy (or issue) wins’ by any means.
In the nearly two and a half centuries since our country was founded, we’ve strayed from its foundation as political parties morph into forms of socialism, rather than the democracy on which we were founded.
It’s time to get back to our foundation—one decision—one legal challenge at a time. Now more than ever, let freedom ring and your voice be heard for American democracy at all cost; lest we wake tomorrow and find ourselves in the midst of a political nightmare greater than anyone ever imagined!
